The People

From first contact you'll discover The Island difference. Calm, friendly and professional. Organised, knowledgeable, and passionate. We love where we live and know every square centremeter of our 100 square kilometer natural wonder. We've explored the 97 kilometers of coastline, visited the attractions and participated in the events that make it unique. We want to share our passion for Phillip Island and see the same ignited in our guests before they leave. That way we know they'll come back one day.

The Ocean

An island has a feel that is different. The ocean provides opportunities to explore, play and appreciate that you are someplace special. Our dramatic ocean beaches with their abundant wildlife have a year round attraction, with activities both in and out of the water. However it's not just about the surf - keep exploring and you will discover mangroves, inlets and sheltered north facing bay beaches. The town of Cowes with it's jetty, lawned hills running to sandy beaches and formal coastal feel is the perfect seaside village.

The Wildlife

More than just penguins, Phillip Island is home and refuge for animals, birds and marine life. Coastal walks in the mornings and evenings might be accompanied by wallabies. Echidna's can be seen waddling across bush tracks and the Purple Hens and Cape Barren Geese are everywhere. The world's largest Australian Fur Seal colony is at the extreme East of the island, visable from The Nobbies or via a cruise departing from Cowes. And of course there are the penguins who are worth a visit in their own right.

The Events & More

Twice a year the world's motorsport fans focus their attention on the iconic Phillip Island Circuit with it's stunning ocean backdrop and fast sweeping curves for the moto GP and WSB Championships. However if the track is not your drawcard there are many other events like music festivals, farmer's markets and art shows occurring year round. And it's not just events. Phillip Island has permanent attractions like A Maze n Things, The Phillip Island Chocolate Factory, wineries, restaurants and more to explore. It's impossible to see it all in just one visit
